What is a Niche Market?

According to wikipedia…

A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focused. The market niche defines the product features aimed at satisfying specific market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and the demographics that is intended to impact.

In order to start a blog or create a website, you need to choose your niche. Some would  suggest choose your hobby. Well, that’s what I did with my very first blog, one of my hobbies was reading jokes or funny stories, so I collected them and posted in a website :). Never get to earn much but it was fun.

Although it is imperative to choose a profitable niche, so we can generate some income out your website, it is also important to love what we are doing, first and foremost, then profit second. But lets not limit ourselves to passion or hobbies. Maybe there’s something that you really, really want to do but never get to do it. A blog or a website where you could write at your heart’s content every single day. I believe if you love what you do, you will not get burnt out and you will not stop writing about it.
